Christmas Cactus

A trailing, segmented cactus that flowers in season, potted in ceramic and grown to about a foot tall.

The Christmas Cactus is one of the few flowering plants in our range and, despite the name, it isn't fussy about being kept strictly indoors, it's happy both indoors and out. Grown to roughly a foot tall, it produces segmented, leaf-like stems that eventually carry blooms when the season and light are right.

Where it fits

Its compact size suits a desktop or table top, and it holds up well in an office space with steady bright, indirect light.

A few extra details

Repot it once a year after flowering finishes, using fresh, humus-rich but well-draining soil, and avoid repotting while it's in bloom since the shock can set it back. It also propagates easily from stem cuttings rooted in water. Each plant comes with a 4-inch self-watering pot and healthy soil included.
