Spider Plant

Spider Plant

An arching, variegated foliage plant known for the small plantlets it sends out on long runners.

The Spider Plant is grown here in a ceramic pot and is one of the thirstier plants in our range, it likes its soil kept moderately moist rather than left to dry out, which suits its fast, arching growth. Left to mature, it produces long stems tipped with baby plantlets that can be rooted into new plants of their own.

Where it fits

It does best somewhere it can spread out a little, a living room shelf, a bedroom corner, or a balcony with filtered light.

A few extra details

Its moderate-wet soil preference sets it apart from the succulents and haworthias in our range, which want to dry out fully between waterings, so don't apply the same schedule to both. The ceramic pot it comes in holds moisture a little longer than a plastic one, which works in this plant's favour.

Please note: This is a living plant. Natural differences in leaf size, colour and overall shape may occur, so the plant you receive may vary slightly from the photographs.
