Zamia

Zamia

A sculptural, slow-growing green that thrives on neglect and asks for almost nothing in return.

Zamia is the plant for a corner that gets more shade than sun. Its stiff, upright leaves hold their colour even in low light, and it is one of the more forgiving air-purifying plants you can keep on a desk, shelf or side table.

Where it belongs in your home

Because it tolerates low sunlight so well, it suits living rooms, bedrooms and balconies that don't get strong direct light. Choose your planter at checkout, from designer ceramic to round glass to plain plastic, so it fits the spot you have in mind.

A few extra details

This is an air-purifying plant, so it earns its keep even when it's simply sitting quietly in a corner. Its low water and light needs make it one of the easiest additions to a first plant collection.

Please note: This is a living plant. Natural differences in leaf size, colour and overall shape may occur, so the plant you receive may vary slightly from the photographs.
