Calatheas Prayer Plant

Calatheas Prayer Plant

Watch closely in the evening and you will see its broad leaves fold upward, the movement that gives every prayer plant its name.

This Calathea Prayer Plant is the classic introduction to the prayer-plant family, its oval, deep green leaves rising and folding together as daylight fades and unfurling flat again each morning. It is an easy, rewarding first Calathea for a beginner.

Where it settles in best

It's happiest in a living room or bedroom with filtered daylight, a shaded balcony, or an office space away from harsh midday sun, where its daily folding routine is easy to notice and enjoy.

A few extra details

It comes in a grow pot that can be moved into a decorative planter later. Beyond its signature nightly movement, it is also an air-purifying plant that suits indoor spaces without needing any outdoor time.

Please note: This is a living plant. Natural differences in leaf size, colour and overall shape may occur, so the plant you receive may vary slightly from the photographs.
